Drama Review: The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion

Story: 2/5

When the story started airing I had high hopes because of the two leading's un-forgetful chemistry in Legend of Yunxi. What I didn't like about it is that Main Lead didn't pop out in the drama until later which was disappointing. I loved everything about it up until the middle of the plot. All of the problems in the story was left without a better and clear resolution. Everything was rushed and the story was doomed.

For Ruyi Pavilion it holds the secrets of the Jianghu but the master ended up dying so easily. That was very stupid and uncalled for. FL is too dumb and can't even fight to take over the pavilion so there's no point of adding that for the title of the Drama.

Cast 5/5 & Character Development: 5/5

The cast did a fine job. All of the character development was great especially Wu Bai Qi and Feng Rong's sister which I forget her name. They were the best couple and their story line was way better than the two main leads. They deserved their own little happiness and small storyline.

Zhang Zhe Han improved on acting a little bit even though he still has the blind guy look from Legend of Yunxi. Jing Juying really has too much make up and she's an idol that wants to look pretty in every scene (not hating but that's the truth) but she can act.

Music: 3/5

I enjoyed the music but not as much as Legend of Yunxi's music.

Episodes/Rewatch Value: 2/5

Everything was rushed at the end and the episodes could not add up to a great plot from middle to end. This is a drama that could be extended to 50 episodes max but the script writers ruined it.

I watched this drama way back when it first aired and binged watched it up until episode 28. I then came back to it to see if the drama will get any better. Nope but  ended up finished watching it till it's special episodes. I really just watched it for Zhang Zhe Han even though it didn't make sense for him to be alive until modern world.

I won't rewatch this because it's not a great production and story. It's really sad that the production team couldn't write a better story when the novel was good. (I did read a few chapters) and yet again they changed the whole story adaptation. It could have went well.

Total & Final Review: 6.8/10

Other than that sit back and enjoy drama watching.
