First/Midway Impression: The Sword and The Brocade

Although I'm half way with the drama I will still add First/Midway Impression. My first Impression on this drama was high and I really enjoyed it a lot. A lot of people say it's similar to The Story of Minglan which I did watch too but stopped because it was too long to watch. (I only watch small clips of it on youtube)

Now my midway impression is now really ehhh. 

I heard a lot of Seven Tan and she was praised by many of her acting skills. Her first drama that I've ever watched was The Fox's Summer and I really enjoyed it way back in 2017. After that I never really watched her dramas. But she is overall great at acting like everyone else. She plays Shiyi very well.

For Wallace I am a long term fan of his. I watched him way back when The Patriotic Knights (2006) came out and then The Magic Blade (2012) then the Demi Gods & Semi Devils (2013). His only modern drama I watched was My Sunshine (2015). Then his role as Chu Bie Jie in General and I (2017).  I had to say his acting really kind of a small disappoint to me. When he was sleeping on the bed it looked weird and his expression was really off. That was the only thing that was annoying lol. 

The story of this drama was interesting and then it ended up in Harem Scheming. I'm not a fan of it as much because they frame each other too much it reminds me of Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace and also Princess Wei Young (which I loved and then hated it by dropping the drama) I usually fast forward the unnecessary scenes when I'm not eating food.

I am hanging on to this drama because there's no other drama for me to watch. I am also watching this for the two leads and see how well their chemistry will grow.

Other than that sit back and enjoy drama watching.
