First Impression: The Long Ballad

 

What can I say about this drama? I know that fans of the original novel said that the drama adaptation is very different. I know that the Manghua itself hasn't finished yet, so we will see what ending they will give to the leading couple.

I didn't have any high expectations of this drama because I didn't know when it will air. I just found out about it after it aired. 

I watched the first episode and its terrific. Let me tell you Reba really improved on her acting. When she had the crying scene when her mother died, I really felt her emotions. I'm glad that she chose this project and she can show everyone that she has improved on her acting. I really liked this adaptation because it's different from every drama that has come out. 

We have a tough female lead and a awesome cool male lead at the same time. So that's perfect. I also haven't watched Leo Wu's dramas at all. I've only seen him when he was 16 or so in Nivara In Fire with Hu Ge. He's very attractive in this series. 

Even though there is a age gap between the him and her. I definitely am admiring their on screen chemistry. As for the other characters, I find them good as well. I just can't believe that Liu Yining is in this drama. I only knew his OSTs that he sang for Word of Honor "Ask Why" Oh boy, he's one of my new actors that I like.

I think I'll stay tuned for this drama.
